I tried boilng eggs in red wine. I hadn't done this before. I have sparkly purple eggs now.

They're neat. You have to let the eggs cool in the hot wine for a few hours or longer so the sugar can recrystalize on the shell. I have no idea if it affects the taste yet. I'm waiting for my unsuspecting dinner guests.

I hadn't either. Someone sent me a yt video about it. Of course, I had try it.
So... the wine eggs look a little weird (which I think is fun) but they taste... like an egg. 😁 
I don't imagine that would be the case, had they cracked.
