this strain of grass grows in a couple places on our property, and i think is grows as much as 1/4 inch per hour in late April, early May. I put a measuring stick next to it to see.

Imagine the amount of CO2 its processing to assemble the carbon structures of its blades that quickly.

Impressive. Tomato plants, I recently learned from experience, grow impressively fast imo. Way faster than most things I've paid attention to. Thought I'd share lol

supposedly Moso bamboo can grow 2 inches per hour in the right conditions. thats amazing. youd think there would be heat production from that intense of a reaction

My grandparents lived in corn country you could hear that grow.

Oh wow, looked it up and seems it's one of fastest. Efficient photosynthesis and efficient "culm structure" (hollow tube plus diaphragm) are cited as primary reasons.

Tomatoes definitely give off signs of hard work. Constantly sweating and thirsty. Perhaps even noticeable heat, though hard to be sure; could be just more humid near plant or something

Beautiful grass.

I have a few patches like that, not as vigorous as yours.

That will make great hay and straw.

i think there may be an underground stream beneath it.

Makes sense.

Nice to have that.

Do you have horsetails?

we do, but it weird places.

the way the water moves across the land has been changed considerably. but you can still see where the streams were by the latent flora and the stones in the soil

Give us a time lapse!

Imagine the root system and how fast its growing as well

Yes, the grasses in my fields grow over six feet tall. As a child we would run from a mowed area and jump into it and it would just bend over and catch us. We have under ground springs on the farm.

what a great image 🙂

We would mow a small baseball field where the home run was into the grass, but the rule was if you dove into the grass and caught it, it was an out.

This field is so dynamic. Covered in snow, spring pond, tadpols, frogs, ducks, swans, moose ..fades to tall grasses and we bale it.

i can feel it when you describe it. 🙂

there is a powerful spiritual heritage in there. i can feel it from here!

am i sensing correctly?

i feel like a powerful generational blessing on you in that. ive never really come across that before so i cant quite identify it. its like a spiritual gift of understanding and loving the land. way stronger than anything i’ve felt. what a beautiful gift.

Yes, that s true, it was my great grand father's property. I am blessed to be of a place. Most are refugees of some sort, never learning the lovely details. I plant off of the wild flower emergence.

its really interesting.

ive felt gifts on people before, but thats a new one. really neat 🙂

Thank you! You have clear insight my friend.
