Is it even a real program if it only runs on windows and doesnt have a dark mode, sir?

The first version of bitcoin was indeed a lie

Who tf uses windows

cool works well with a little common sense

is nakv or vnak? in the title of the app

It's vnak, nakv is the secret name that allows you to take control of its spirit, so don't tell anyone.

I can keep the secret

Any chance of releasing a .Deb and .rpm to go along with the .exe?

I don't know how to do these things, but there is a single-file Linux binary there in the releases page.

Exe.cuse me, what is this Windows thing?

I don't understand why people are thinking this is just a Windows thing. It runs everywhere!

this is what you get for typing the forbidden “GOOS=windows” enchantment

Haha true, I'm looking at the code now and you're right.

That .exe was only made for nostr:npub1t6jxfqz9hv0lygn9thwndekuahwyxkgvycyscjrtauuw73gd5k7sqvksrw I guess.

He should learn how to execute that other binary ;)

1: maybe it was indeed only made for me, maybe.

2: maybe vnak exists because of me in the first place, maybe.

3: i have probably installed various linux distros a bazillion times on various systems, and every time i came to the conclusion i'd rather use the OS i only installed a hand full of times, mostly only once per system. Though Windows is getting terrible in a whole bunch of ways for a while now, it never gave me shit about python versions and allows me to play broodwar without any fuzz, so there is that.

It always narrows down to Starcraft, ok, fair enough.

Did you know Guigui? A brand new pure Go gui.

I vibe coded a port of vnak using Guigui and it works!

Cons: no video playback support.

I tried gnak, it works indeed!

I didn't know of Guigui. I'm happy it exists and that the web is slowly losing, but I don't understand why all these newish GUI frameworks never bother to implement support for the Linux primary clipboard.

I guess all immediate-mode frameworks end up being very ugly for some reason. There was another one in Go that I tried a while ago and it was sad, but I guess for "tools" like nak they're fine.

Ah, it looks like he’s already aware of the clipboard issue.

cross-platform is hard. Thanks for giving it a try anyway. You know, I don’t plan on maintaining gnak. It's just a proposal for you.

Would be nice to have a GUI for a nak bunker deamon

noice!
