Dude I could not agree more. I tried orange pilling a few people and felt like I was completely wasting my time. They don’t care at all to do the work, so why waste the time?

I stopped trying to orange-pill when they wouldn't even install a Lightning Network wallet on their smartphone to receive 1000 sats from me.

I’ve orange pilled a few. I wish I’d had someone in person to explain it to me, that’s why I will mention it, and talk about it when it’s relevant. But I’m not trying to force our badger anyone into doing anything.

Although I don’t think it hurts to drop it in conversation as much as you can with people. The more they are aware and hear it, the more likely to look into it.

Issue I have with telling people is I can be a little too maxi with it - so maybe that’s the issue!

I’ll drop hints here and there, but yeah you can’t force a horse drink water.. I gave up and just drop stuff in conversations unless someone actually wants to discuss it.

Bitcoin is not for everyone, its available to anyone.

Agreed - with the exception of my close friends and family. I love them too much to just say “fuck em”.

When I first fell down the rabbit hole and was feeling really obsessed, I explained it to my loved ones passionately. Many bought, and I’ve added significant value to our community through my preaching of the orange gospel. I no longer talk about it, but I’m glad I did in those early days. It was a good self sacrifice (looking like a maniac) for the benefit of my friends and family.

Well, you can't know if someone is open and interested without a feeler. I bring up Bitcoin to others when there's a natural way to do so in a convo, and will usually ask if they're interested in learning more.

After a few unsuccessful tries I’ve stopped “orange pilling” people for years now. If anyone has any questions I’ll happily discuss with them, otherwise to each their own.

I don't pill anyone. When people ask me what social media I use I say "Nostr". If they ask what that is, I explain with more detail. If they are interested, I may even onboard them with a little education right there. If they look puzzled or don't ask further questions, I just ignore it.

Regarding investments ... At this point Bitcoin needs no further explanation. You will get Bitcoin at the price you deserve.

Real talk, you got me on nostr. I was not convinced at first until you pushed it.

On a separate note: you gotta push your audience to run their own node (knots). Every Bitcoin influencer has that responsibility. Even setting up a 1 on 1 virtual call help set it up. Bitcoin needs to stay decentralized and secure.
