Fuck it, here it is, vlog #001
Blame @HODL for convincing me that scruff, sunglasses and loud opinions were the vibe
Hope you all like a lot of lens flare

Strong start 🤙
Lagging as fuck for me, like 10 stops to watch half video. Nice to see you here.
A buddy of mine had the same problem. Trying to use my own CDN. I’ll play with the settings on future ones
Love the Myers-Briggs angle!
It was a huge epiphany for me to finally make sense of what people found so threatening about the truth
Cool vlog!!
Absolutely epic talk my brother. Model what you want to see in the world. love it!
Thanks brother 🙏 been pondering this simple idea for a minute, happy it resonates
People disengage with “facts” thrown at them because it’s weird to throw random “facts” at people. You have to get to know people first or else you come off as a weirdo. Even worse when the facts sound conspiratorial in nature. At that point they may disengage if: 1. They cannot validate your claim on the spot, or 2. Your facts are stupid and wrong and you misinterpreted some information and came to wrong conclusions and they sense it, but won’t say anything to avoid confrontation and further argument.
If a person who frequently believes in conspiracies that can and have been debunked comes to me with “facts” I’d also dismiss them. “What do you want me to do with that?” Is exactly something one might say.
If you think you’re the smartest person in the room, you’re probably not.
You’re projecting here
NTs are typically thrilled to be presented with information that challenges their beliefs. And if it can’t be verified immediately they have no problem saying “that’s interesting - I’d have to look into that”. If the logic is bad, they have no problem saying “I’m not sure I follow your logic” and know it won’t offend or cause conflict with another NT. I can’t tell you how many people I have calmly listened to tell me things I disagree with.
It’s the S and F types who get emotional about being presented information that conflicts with their beliefs, because of the reasons I mention in the video. Abstract concepts without direct application to the world that could bring them into conflict with other people offend them. They have to reject information they can’t accept because accepting new information that breaks with the group is tantamount to an inducement to follow you now, instead of the group. Which is a crazy ask
SFs are fans of “trusted sources” and “experts” because they’re a reasonably good heuristic to follow when the world is largely unknowable by a single mind
Also, a “conspiracy” is just people working together with hidden intention… that describes an awful lot of human activity. Advertising. To suggest that no one ever collaborates with a private agenda is a pretty bold claim and that doesn’t track with my experience
Lastly, the entire point of the video was the importance of moving past the kneejerk reaction to feeling like you’re the smartest person in the room, and figuring out what you’re not understanding about people but maybe you didn’t watch the whole thing
Coulda fooled me. The entire time it sounded like you’re calling everyone stupid for ignoring your van allen radiation belt crap.
It was an example of the kind of thing that triggers people. You’re welcome to share why it triggered you, if you’d like.
I responded as to why people likely don’t listen to random fact people. There are many random fact people on here and it’s quite annoying because their opinions are easily debunked. It’s tiring, not triggering. I decided to say something this ONE time because I ignore 99% of it.
I’m not sure we’re talking about the same thing
I personally don’t find weak takes on Nostr tiring, I find they keep me sharp. Maybe I don’t engage with people who seem ideologically rigid, but I’ll usually do some digging into their claims if I haven’t already
My point was that people are different and have different concerns when it comes to information, and that’s ok
What a bad take. Project much?
Killin’ it. Here’s the original survey Myers-Briggs post. He’s currently doing another one: https://x.com/bquittem/status/1438170707754618883?s=46&t=ik35cjZcPlRTrbHDfsTz-w
Killer vlog. Incredible how the population can be divided.
Always enjoy the NT prospective. Are you an ENTJ?
Brother, what a blessing.
