The difference between 300 and 1000 capacity is huge in terms of finding the right venue. (Easier to secure smaller venues naturally)
And the number of attendees depends on the program of the event and whether you want to (and are able to) attract local people to come as well.
So, I need a bit more input on that and can potentially help find the right venue by talking to some people and local companies.
Oh and also the budget for the venue.

Not sure if you’re having difficulty finding venue or availability?! I don’t know if my idea is useful but when I plan events I usually see where is the safest convenient place. Most times I pick places where there have been medical events in the past so they have capacity and event space Japan diabetes community has a few places they hold diabetes meetings at. I only know this year meetings is at Shiroyama Hotel Kagoshima, Kagoshima, Japan via Google search, but I’ve never been to any diabetes meetings in Japan. I’m just offering an idea that this is what I do when I plan events, I look for where medicine events happen. #[2]
