I’m looking to set up multi-sig for my kids and have them be able to add and watch the balance but not spend.
Unchained can do this but either I have to pay $250 a year for each account or the kids see all the balances of all the vaults
The accounts aren’t that big yet to justify $250 a year
I saw Theya does something also?
Any suggestions that are suitable for teens to get excited watching their stacks go up that aren’t super expensive ? Thx
If you want collab custody the basic Nunchuk plan is comparable to the $250 Unchained plan and is only $120 per year. Nunchuk also has a free version if you’re confident in holding all your own keys.

Blonde question- if I already have signing devices for other accounts/wallets- can I also use them for the kids wallets or do I need a whole new set of signing devices es for every configuration?
You can reuse but there can be tradeoffs - depends on the signer and wallet.

Yeah could be good to read up on BIP85 as a potential option and help judge 1 signer or multiple against your desired functionality and budget.
BIP85 Can generate lots of child seeds from one parent seed, so you ultimately only need 1 backup. Coldcard created but it’s widely supported.
Maybe they don’t need Multi-Sig just yet then… wait until $1m BTC and get a CASA etc. then.
I haven't looked into it yet, but I've heard the Bitkey is a user friendly way to do multisig.
However, if we are not talking about large sums it might be easier to do a single sig and you hold on to the signing device for them.
Using sparrow wallet you can interact with the xpub (depositing, checking balances across accounts and addresses), but can't withdraw without the signing device.
A single cold-card could do this.
You could set up a separate account for each of your kids on that one signing device and they can both view them from the software.
Might make them competitive. Depends how you want it to go. Competition to get sats for chores could be great 😂

Bitkey makes multi-sig super easy. They done a great job there. Of course it has its cons but it’s still good for multisig purposes + very simple to use.
Dude just give them blue wallets then import the XPUBS to each of thier phones they can always generate new addresses to deposit but never be able to spend plus they can see the balances at anytime
