To a certain extent, I think bitcoiners need to use their bitcoin as patrons the same way you would if your neighbor's kid started a landscape or lawnowing business. Maybe the product or service isn't the best, but you can help bootstrap the circular economy by being the first customer of a bitcoin business.

I'm not saying accept trash products, but if someone creates a product that you buy at the grocery store (soap, honey, syrup, meat, furniture, accessories, etc) for bitcoin, especially on nostr, swap over. I've bought so much stuff off other nostriches for the simple fact that it's offered here.

Totally agree, we need to support each other! And tbh, most if not all products I've bought from nostr has been far superior to their clownworld counterparts. My most recent nostr purchase is from nostr:npub1tx5ccpregnm9afq0xaj42hh93xl4qd3lfa7u74v5cdvyhwcnlanqplhd8g

Yes! No need to blow your entire stack either, but this is worth so much more than number go up.

Which reminds me…is it maple syrup season yet?

Yessss! Been a whirlwind of a season, probably will be shorter than usual but we’ve been struggling to keep up with boiling because sap is flowing so fast. Will probably start bottling next week or so. 🍁

a site with list of sellers in one place would be nice. i am sure there is one somewhere.

Here’s a (partial) list of nostr merchants I started a while back but have not had time to update in a while nostr:note165h0rst7w77gchgvpc990zg6sk3muyj8y2tz3hcv4un6n84jctrq2agvc0

And there’s also https://plebmall.com/ from nostr:npub1f0e6xymc9hy4wmepa7em60tp8p7s6kgnq53q06grq6n5r0m27l2s6tc5r6 which is a really excellent resource 👏

You're right. If we don't use it as money, than what is the whole point.

All nostr clients should have a 'marketplace' tab, ideally with some geolocation functionality.
