Unpopular opinion: The normalization of drinking coffee daily is a reflection of the fact that most people don't enjoy their lives enough to live without stimulants.

Coffee and caffeine is a neurotoxin
For me coffee is not a stimulant. I drink it every day out of habit. I like its taste. I've had periods where I've stopped drinking it and I can do without it without a problem. I don't think it's something one gets addicted to.
Coffe is a drug, and it gets people addicted.
This is complete nonsense. You don't drink coffee and you want to say that all who drink are addicts? I can tell you I don't drink alcohol, I've never smoked cigarettes. I've never done any drugs. I do drink coffee, though. Do you even distinguish between addiction and habit? In addiction, a person quits hard and feels very bad when they stop using a stimulant. I can stop drinking coffee and I won't feel anything, my body doesn't require it. Learn to distinguish between habit and addiction and then give comments.
Yeah, you say addiction as a bad thing. Like you said, as other drugs do. People need to know that cafeine is addictive. Like some folks that justify their drinking as habit. You only know when you try to stop it and it's too late.
If someone says "I like to drink". It raises a lot of concerns, but if someone says "I drik coffe everyday" we see as a habit.
I'm not discussing if it's right or wrong. I'm sayng it's a fact. Caffeine is addictive.
So then you should have no problem drinking decaf only. 🙂
Decaf can be harmful. Depends on how it is made. There's also a difference in taste, at least I feel. One can get "addicted" to anything. If someone starts eating a lot of salt, he gets used to that amount and then everything seems saltless. With sugar it is the same. I used to drink my coffee with sugar, but for many years I drank it without. In the beginning it tasted very bitter, and now if I drink it with sugar it seems too sweet. It's all a matter of habit. If someone thinks coffee is harmful, he can never drink. Those who want to can stop drinking tea, because they can get "addicted" to it too. If you drink tea every day, you get used to it and you want to drink it. Whoever wants can live without any "stimulants" and drink only water.
Sugar is also a drug. Everything which affects your brain chemistry is a drug, some are more habit forming than others.
Some people are also less susceptible to addiction than others.
You Sir. You got a zap for this comment.
I feel like I 'rely' more heavily on morning coffee when I am in down periods. When I am at my best, I simply get up and go and attack the day– No time to sit around groggy-eyed.
Absolutely agree. My caffeine dependentcy is killing my productivity.
Unpopular, indeed 😂
Unpopular but true
Drink tea! (It's the taste of Zen)
