I got me some trees!
Two American hazelnut and a lime tree. They are tiny saplings but I have time for them to grow.

Oooh he put the lime in the hazelnut… sorry, I couldn’t resist. Lol
Lol citrus is great, we have a 2nd yr Satsuma we keep indoors an my figs already in the green house
So so jealous. I love hazelnuts. Will follow your progress with eager interest! Many pix please.
They are little hibernating saplings. Let’s see if I can wake them up and sprout some leaves.
I bee-lieve!
Where are your GHOST’s peppers pix. I know it hasn’t gotten hot enough yet.
Whatcha mean? I already have peppers

Beautiful! It has been kinda cool. Thought peppers were slow this year.
This is the one I overwintered from last year. Only reason it’s already producing. My lunchbox peppers have flowers so should be soon. All the others are still sprouts I’m growing from seed.
nostr:npub1dgpt04w4c88wc0g262xaw8zvlm4mvwtmjhl0tn2sxtyjywsn6q4qt8ka3a how are your peppers looking?
I've been growing citrus trees from seed up here in cold Canada for 5 years now. Should be successful for you compared to my climate!
I’ve never tried so we’ll see. I’m more worried about them burning up. Heat usually kills things here.
TEACH ME YOUR WAYS!
cactus soil
hard water
for me lots of sunshine is good, temps dont go over 33 Celcius in the summer, for you, you probably need to give it shade if you say everything overheats. Fertilize the soil during the growing season.
Winter time i have to take mine indoors, i have to make sure that the house humidity stays above 45 % because of the heating required.
I have a floor fan running next to the tree all winter for 6 hours a day.
I feed it with foliar fertilizer only and reverse osmosis water during the winter season but water much less and fertilize much less.
Winter time indoors it gets very finicky and picky and the slightest thing i do wrong upsets it.
Summer time outdoors it thrives. It is 5 years now, about 3 feet tall, 2 wooden thick main leading branches (I know I know i shuld have kept it to 1, but I didnt have the heart at the time, now im paying the price).
next week is supposed to be our last night with freezing temperatures and snow, so next weekend I am hoping to move it outdoors gradually to stay outdoors for the rest of spring summer and early fall.
Lime tree. Going in that big pot once I get some dirt

Citrus grows in Canada 😳😱🤯
Planting a nectarine, peach and apricot today myself. Had to buy them retail... Plant prices need a halving.
I paid retail too, hence the small size. The lime tree was $25 for a 4 footer. The hazelnuts were $8 for a little foot tall sapling.
