I am grateful for all the people I was able to meet on nostr! I didnβt think I would be able to forge strong relationships in my stage of my life. And doing it online was out of the question πΆπΎπ«πππ»
My wife finds it very strange that I have as well. Itβs much harder to meet like minded people when you get a bit older.

This is very much the same for me. I have Instagram and Twitter to follow some accounts I am interested in but never really post much on either of them, and I have Facebook just for keeping I touch with family. Nostr is different, it is much more like a community and the interactions feel much more genuine than on other social media.

I only tried Facebook for the first time in 2020 when covid madness started. That's where most people I knew at the time were. That's when I was still shocked that everyone around me believed total fairytales told by absolute clouns and turned full fascist. I thought I could still save them. After that failed, after years of total darkness, Nostr brought a lot of joy with all the sanity in here.
Same here. I was always a "lurker" on places like Twitter/Facebook, but absolutely never posted anything before.
