Insane visualisation

Wow. Really puts shit into perspective.

This isn't adjusted for inflation right?

No

Wow 😮 Lehman not included or is it?

[Insert “it’s fine” meme here]

Very cool visualization, where is the data that created it? Any link you can share?

You can see the raw data and author of this plot here — https://observablehq.com/@mbostock/bank-failures

Where is Credit Suisse and Lehman Brothers?

So this is a good question to ask. Lehman Brothers wasn’t a bank so it won’t be in the FDIC data that was used to create the visualization. FDIC only insured banks not other financial entities that could also participate in a “financial collapse”. It raises the question of how useful the visual comparison is if it lack the key entities.

And FDIC, means only USA. That's why there is no Credit Suisse. So another reason you can question the usefulness of the visualisation.

I see banks consolidating the same way media , food and everything else does. Down to 5-6 companies. Can't say monopoly yet they conspire together and is an easy number to control by gov't. Typical control pattern..

The classic snowman pattern.

Seems bearish.

😅
