Like you I wasn’t someone paying attention much to him except the errant clip probably because i aged out before he got big but I know see how many people looked up to him. I don’t know who did what but I do think Israel senses their time for action without consequence is waning.

Also why would Bibi be amog the first to tweet about it?

He went from defending the genocide and everything they did to criticizing jews in America doing the same thing they complain about. His tune was changing over the last few months. He also declined to go see Bibi in Israel and was having second thoughts about taking more money from his Zionist donors. Apparently he was also lobbying Trump hard on not bombing Iran, which if you know Bibi you know his biggest goal is to do regime change in Iran.

Then you have his organization being full of groypers that are very much anti Israel criticizing him, which is why he had the damage control meeting with all the heads of the chapters a few months ago. See Max Blumenthal’s piece for more on all of these.

There isn’t hard evidence Israel did it, but there are plenty of reasons why they would do it. It makes total sense if you have been following right wing politics and Israel for the last 2-5 years
