So many people can't read. The US government;

Created a bitcoin-only strategic reserve

Tasked the treasury to buy more bitcoin

Put existing shitcoins in a stockpile & not buy more

Mate, you obviously can't read yrself. The 2nd paragraph is not well summarised as "buy more BTC". It's much better paraphrased as "develop strategies to (possibly) buy more BTC (probably quite far from now)".

No bitcoiner denies that *all* govts will eventually be buying BTC but it's a massive step for a fiat currency issuer, particularly for the "global reserve" fiat currency issuer, to make and so while they may posture about developing 'BTC buying strategies' now, they are obviously not committing to doing any buying in the immediate future (say to the end of this year).

(Holding on to BTC they've already seized and maybe more they seize in the future was already predicted by many of us, because it's such an easy move to make and moreover, is typical of how the kleptocratic US govt operates.)

Because the name is Strategic Crypto Reserve .. not Strategic #bitcoin reserve ..

Anyway ..the harm is already done .. what a communication blunder ..

I know! What is their malfunction?

1 .. as if they d ever sell their gold which existance is not even clear

2 .. "budget-neutral" can also mean FORFEITING

They might be after YOUR #Bitcoin

Bang on with yr 2nd point. Saylor might want to watch out too (I think he's already made himself too obvious a target for the US govt).

Never trust a government 👆😋

If something is "budget-neutral" and "impose no incremental costs", I don’t understand how it can be considered a "buy". 🤔

They call you a criminal and take it from you. That’s how

Do not underestimate politicians’ ability to classify spending as having no incremental cost with bad forecast assumptions.

These people aren't too concerned with nuances like that.

How do you feel about civil asset forfeiture? Could this create an incentive for the US Gov. to "seize” your Bitcoin?
