The term sats is now entrenched, so why change it. It is as you say such a sill thing. This debate seems to add zero value. I have not seen anything that supports an increased bitcoin adoption rate when its changed.
I am generally in favor of this approach. The software I use already has decimal and sat options.
This probably would lead to confusion though. Imagine if every business uses one of many different formats for pricing. I can see the benefit of having a universal standard for pricing things. Maybe there's a solution I'm missing. Probably.
The market would probably solve this with time. People will likely gravitate toward what makes the most sense. It would be on the minority to figure their shit out.
