Now that I think of it, the first thing we should build is an appstore independent app rating and review layer using #nostr.
Anyone working on that?
Are app bundles on Android a thing? Something like https://ninite.com/ for the 'ole Windows machine.
Should be easy enough to add to Obtainium? Could even be a "other stuff" thing. Publish your list of recommended FLOSS apps via #nostr, and install these apps with one click. Or, obviously, install someone else's public list.
Anything like that out there already?

Is nostrapp.link kind of headed that way?
Oh, it seems like it is! It has reviews, yay!
Yes, and if you post your app there (which is a nostr event), then it's easy to find it with spring.site
What kind of events are reviews?
I was thinking last night (sorry)... Reviews & recommendations should probably be different types of events, no? Since reviews can be negative, they wouldn't really fit into a recommendation category. Or for example, a scenerio that's likely to arise at some point of, 'this app is "meh" but it's what is available so I still recommend it'.
Reviews should probably have their own NIP & event kinds since you can review many things & you don't necessarily want to have all of those tied together, such as reviews of apps vs movies vs recipes.
Just food for thought for anyone interested.
Apollo?
wouldn't media hosting be a higher priority?
