I have mixed feelings:
The good: it would be a good global filter like nostrgram's following+
The bad: an additional button at the bottom is not appealing to my fat thumbs.

I'd say the more features like this the better, IF users have the option to choose which buttons to have on their screen.

I never used G+. How did circles work?
Like having many separate following lists, eg work, family, etc. Was a great feature. I already have follow overload, trying to find people is crazy!
See the video. Might be hard to execute on Nostr, but basically you have different "flavors of feed" and you can broadcast to some or all of your followers that are into particular content.
Yes. Let me assign follows to circles, or possibly tag users could be a similar feature. I'd like to have separate lists of devs, memers, musicians, etc. 💜💜💜🤙
Google+ had the best social interface yet designed (too soon for me to render judgment on Nostr).
I never used circles, but if the execution was as good as the demo, WOW. That is indeed the best implementation I've seen. It's like Facebook groups but without the suck. If it were condensed and collapsible a-la reddit, it would be perfect.

Yes! Would also love to step into other peoples' shoes to see their feed, and I'd love to have subgroups of my followers so I can see only their posts.
I personally wouldn't, but if you are looking for other feedback then I'd like to be about to group people for custom feeds, or have quick access to a few of my favorite follows so I can catch up more easily👍

Not really, however durimg my brief time using Amethyst the main UX improvement would be being able, after doing a search, engaging with a result, to go back to the search results as opposed to the global feed and having to search again each time.

I've considered this kind of feature before, and it may be useful for discovery.
But right now I'd prefer a feed that doesn't skip and jitter all over the place when I scroll.
