You can't actually block other nostr users from being able to see your notes.
Which means thin-skinned bullshitters can't prevent being dunked upon and exposed.

Justice
Nice lol
Parasites be ware!
That's why Faketoshi will never come here.
Haha!
You can’t on twitter either.
On Twitter you can block accounts or take your account private, making it far more difficult for folks to see your tweets.
You can run a burner account on the same app and just switch back and forth.
On nostr the account that is muted/blocked can still reply to all your posts with all their same followers still seeing it without needing to make a new account and starting from scratch.
Is this why Saifedean isn’t here yet?
Why? All I see him doing on Twitter is retweet others mentioning him, and being the one dunking on others.
If that’s all he does now, it’s because he’s banned everyone who disagrees with him on any topic.
How is Saifedean a bullshitter?
He can’t handle criticism or opposing viewpoints and blocks at the hint of opposition to keep his bubble calcified.
Does that count?
I'll drink to that 🍸
That's why kids we Nostr!

You can hide behind a "subscribers only relay" tho. Kinda like a patreon. Realistically if you host your own relay and only post to that and also have a following that way somehow, you can do whatever moderation you want....but then people might repost to other relays with how they really feel so.
Let the dunking commence & prosper ...

Is there a chance nostr protocol could end up just like SMTP? Only a company can afford to run a server to fight spam and onboard everyone.
Highly likely if the relays use anything other than micropayments or PoW to restrict the use of their scarce resources.
Jimmy Song os gonna hate this once he realizes this...
You also apparently can't delete your messages. So if you're a toxic ahole with really questionable beliefs and morals, you have to be careful what you say.
