What hardware are you running now?

Bitcoin Machine, so umbrel runnin on raspi

love it but wanting to try others too and having a little trouble connecting it after a flawless year

I've been running an ApolloBTC (also raspi), for about a year and a half and it has been getting seriously unreliable recently. I'm also thinking of going to something running on a real computer. My Home Assistant is running on an Intel NUC, and it is super solid. Start9 on one of those is seeming pretty sweet about now.

I’m thinking to make the switch to start9 as well. Not planning to route lightning but veeify the timechain, and host a few things.

exactly

Here’s how our nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll experience started….still hoping for a recovery.

Could you share a little more about what happened?

This^

No access in nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll to view on chain wallet keys, so no ability to access our wallet outside of S9. S9 backup/restore utility failed to restore due to backup being corrupted and failing checksum authentication.

I’m sorry to hear that happened to you. Hopefully it can be resolved somehow

🤔 doesn’t sound good

Yeah, so far so good. I got all of my services up in running in no time at all. I'd recommend it.

Star9 had great reviews and folks who use love it. nostr:npub1qqqqqq0u2gj96tdfvqymdqn739k4s0h9rzdwyegfmalv28j7a5ssh5ntu2

*has

yea I think it’s time

Built my own embassy with their DIY guide. Start9 team is dope.

i love that it's all on tor

Can it run over cleartext or HTTPS as well? I would like some services to be directly accessible through my domain.

Definitely 💪🙂

You need to make sure your hardware is adequate. I really wanted to use it with my raspberry pi build but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to stably run the node. Support was great from their team, but couldn’t get it to run consistently enough to use.

This is true as I’ve just found out…
