don’t really feel the need to idly listen to podcasts/books/music right now

more calming to just be present in the real world & even to embrace boredom

the very american fervor for productivity causes people to miss a lot of great life experience & opportunities

gotta pull your head out of the water & check the current, get your bearings now & then

harder in a bull market but well worth it

Feel this 100%

💯

I’ve lost interest in pods especially. Walking around in the forests of the PNW is so interesting to me right now. I’d rather spend my time there vs doing anything else.

1000%

Respect mcshane you’re seeing things w/ clarity as usual 🫡

The PNW is magical.

It sure is. I have to say though it’s hard to live here 4 months out of the year. Dark and wet and gloomy. Summers are world class though.

Surprisingly less gloomy and more sunny than I expected for my first winter here, at least in Seattle.

Yeah this winter did have some decent sunny stretches. But watch now the next week or two will be gloomy and rainy after that tease of nice weather. It’s always hard in the spring to endure the last couple weeks of gloom when I know the nice weather is on the horizon.

Consider sharing more PNW pics 🙏

I will. Here’s one I shared the other day. If you zoom in you’ll see a Douglas squirrel who was curious about me and my dog.

boredom is underrated

Good test for where your head is at. See if you can lay down and close your eyes for awhile in a busy area.
