It's strange how the people complaining about government overreach now support it and those formerly preaching it are complaining about it.

Identity politics. These people have no ability to critically think. They pick a side and support it harder than sports fanatics.
I don't believe it's overreach. Printing money, abducting foreign leaders and staging coups are overreach. Federal level healthcare that makes responsible people pay more for the bad decisions of the irresponsible are overreach. Protecting the border and thus the welfare of the people of a nation is the role the feds are actually supposed to play. The difference is the last administration didn't do that in the first place.
Detaining people indefinitely without due process is a violation of human rights. The worst fucking criminals at least get a performative court ritual. ICE is grabbing people then asking questions later. No warrants nothing. If they did it to you, what would you call that? It’ll happen to you eventually
BECAUSE NO ONE IS CONSISTENT THEY MUST CHOOSE AN OPINION THAT VALIDATES ALL PREVIOUS OPINIONS
PEOPLE CANT SAY I WAS WRONG!
it sad
Not at all.
You have external forces pushing both sides further apart. It makes perfect sense when you realize it is all just a psyop to divide the country and make it ripe for pure authoritarianism.
"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
That's how you take over a country like ours. You let others goad you into self-destruction.
To be fair, I never said it was surprising.
yeah the most vocally against state over reach today were the ones must vocally supportive of it 5 years ago during covid
