Voting got us here, in case you didn't notice - it's not the solution, it's part of the problem.

Resist by using a money they can't control or create for free.

problem is one can also take THIS too far. I see many Bitcoiners thinking that EVERYthing is a conspiracy just because some things obviously are...

Even Bitcoiners lose the "verify, don't trust" approach when the topic goes against their belief...

The purpose of voting is to *not* change the system but to keep it stable. This is not even a secret. We learn this in school but most don’t draw the conclusions from it.

Yes.

You vote to the degree you invest yourself (aka your time and energy) in an idea.

Voting (aka investing 5 minutes and two strokes of ink) isn’t voting at all.

it is orthogonal to what you say. So this is me agreeing.

But voting OR not voting is independent of all those horrible things happening.

You COULD argue that the politician who gets Bitcoin advanced quicker might be useful. But that would need some good debating.

Grass roots are great, but at some point some grass roots people (Bitcoiners) will rise to the top in a political world. We shouldn't ignore them just "because you are now a bad political person" - Bitcoin can also work top down once the bottom-up approach is working well...

Check out Suriname for this. Some good ideas being put forward for the next political cycle.
