Meh, if “they” (our democratically elected leaders) gave each citizen of Maui $180,000 or whatever, you’d complain about “them” too. I’m for spending whatever it takes to stop the dictator Putin from invading and brutally savaging peaceful democratic countries.

A peaceful democratic country that wants to join an offensive alliance and has banned political opposition*
There FIFY
And you should be able to donate to such a cause, but those who won't will still be paying
Since when was Ukraine peaceful to that piece of their land? Please do some research and stop believing the narrative fed from the MSM to the populace.
Nice shitpost 🐸
When you donate all of your own wealth to fight this war, then I'll believe your virtue signal.
"whatever it takes" give the hyperbole a rest bud.
What an uninformed and manipulated tool of a comment. Executed exactly as it was planted in you. FEW
If helps you to get through the day by being a victim of some amorphous “them,” knock yourself out. Once you’ve helped jettisoned the democracy we have because it’s not perfect and have lived under a brutal, intrusive dictatorship with no liberty at all for 20 years, don’t blame me.
Aren’t democratic countries the ones that have elections?
If the US Constitution is an important model for democracy, yes, elections are a key part of it. Zelenskyy and Biden are elected. Putin is a multi-decade dictator, who ensures that open conversations like this one cannot happen in his country. Is that what you want vs what you have?
I think if you’re going to criticize so completely the system that provides your civil liberties, as is your protected right, you should define the governance system that you prefer and why it would be superior, and allow debate.
Otherwise, this thread sounds like privileged people whining like victims, which is distasteful and just more of what the modern GOP has deteriorated to, or it reads like you’re all members of a Russian Sleeper Cell, lulz.
Sometimes I wonder if it would be easier to still see the world this way.
