I have a chronic pain condition (endometriosis). I’ve had surgeries, done physical therapy, tried holistic solutions, started an anti inflammatory diet, and been prescribed countless medications (most of which narcotics).

A lot of flare ups last multiple days where I am unable to get out of bed. It’s an indescribable pain and the limited quality of life can make it depressing as fuck a lot of times.

Earlier on in my diagnosis, I was given opiates. They worked, but terrified me because I already recovered from addiction issues when I was younger.

I saw in the news that some women in Australia with endometriosis were fighting with the government over medical marijuana allowances, which started my studies.

It’s also supported in many of the medical journals that particular strains of full-spectrum cannabis have been proven successful in treating endometriosis pain.

At my dispensary, I’ve discovered a few (indica dominate) strains that have allowed me so much relief and more participation in daily life activities.

Do I enjoy being stoned? Sure. But the relief is why I love marijuana and have been so grateful for it recently.

curious to know if you’ve tried flower CBD at all for pain relief too, which doesn’t get you stoned

Yes. I actually tried that first both flower and tincture. I didn’t notice much until I added the thc, but I continue to use cbd alongside

nice and what about edibles, do they have a better, stronger effect than smoking/vaping?

Edibles I have had absolutely no luck with for some reason. I would prefer to find a tincture (I’ve tried quite a few) so I’m not always smoking, but for now I’m just doing what works

Are you dry vaping? I actually can’t smoke normally anymore. A dry vape is so easy on my lungs.

No mainly hand rolled joints because the vapes all taste so weird to me. nostr:npub1q7why7lw8kq9ufr43ps75ngz3vhx5duqt7xmgklcq3dljqqfjegq2km2vr has been trying to get me on one so I may be trying again

Are those liquid vapes? dry vapes shouldn’t change the taste at all. I love the dry vape, it cuts out almost all the tar and gives you just pure. I was a chronic user by choice but then got gov issued script and now could never go back to regular smoking… dry vape also dissipates smell so I vape inside and it barely feels like you’re inhaling anything as it’s so easy on lungs. Highly recommend a dry vape… I use the Firefly 2

I haven’t gotten into those yet, but I think that’s what Tigs was talking about

nice, hope you do. smoking regularly you actually get more tar inhalation than with tobacco. so, it would be best to use dry vape. you also don’t burn off a lot of the good properties of weed in a dry vape, like you do regularly smoking, so a richer amount of the terpenes. it would prob give you even greater dose of pain relief 🤙

Yeah the coughing is getting excessive. We just gotta find a good one and make moves I guess

I swear by the German company, Storz & Bickel. The Mighty+ and Venty with quick charge via usbc is a must. These two are the best next to the Volcano which is also a S&B invention.

These I find best for a kick back n chill session. Dynavap and using an Electrical Conduction Heater is my fav though currently for terpene taste and also for strong hits.

Will do a write up on this sometime I hope!

i like the look of those things... basically just a resin boiler, much nicer than the liquid shite, i don't think propylene glycol or glycerine are healthy to be vaping, and both are considerably higher boiling than the 140'C of the thc itself

That sounds really rough. Interesting treatment history

On hormone therapy now which sucks hard

Indica og kush edibles feel great after a meal. 🙏🏽🌲💯

Fiancé has had similar issues. Staying away from processed foods and steaming the who ha has helped a lot especially around periods.

I’ve been doing the same thing. The diet change has been really hard

I’m sure! Processed is so addictive. You got this 🫂

Omg you have no idea how bad I was hooked. I’ve only been fully anti inflammatory for like a month so it was a real battle with myself

That’s amazing!! It’s alright I’m addicted to straus ice cream, we all have our battles 😪

Have you considered Fenbendazole and Ivermectin?

it's worth a shot.

I’m also on hormone therapy right now, but after that (if I don’t get relief), I am open to more options

Indica is awesome. I have a vape pen and when I need relief from anxiety urgently, I sometimes use a full spectrum CBD or indica dominant blend of canabinoids and terpenes from Extract Labs. Martian Candy is my favorite. Medicinal herbs can be so great when you do your own research and think logically, something most doctors in our monopolistic fiat medical regime don't do.

I don’t even remember the name of the strain I got last time, but I’m on my way to ask the people because I was out of pain for like 6 hours straight

Badass

Shit that sounds rough, glad you've found something that makes it easier (and you can enjoy). 💪

I’m just grateful not to have to take opiates anymore

I cant even imagine. I've never had to take them, but I've seen some tragic results with friends 👎

Same🫂

PLANT MEDICINE FOR THE WIN

I'm sorry to hear about your condition🫂. Marijuana has helped me a lot throughout the years, as well. Especially after my wife's death, when I was drinking everyday to the point when I couldn't remember the previous day.

That is so tough. My mom just lost her husband and has started smoking again because she was drinking way too much. It’s definitely the lesser of two evils and I don’t have to worry as much

It definitely is the lesser of the two. Is your mom getting better?

Your comment reminded me of something I said a while ago. Maybe it can help your mother.

Indica and CBN work for me for when i need to try catch up with some sleep. I have a TBI that keeps me awake 24/7. I am awaken in fight or flight mode every 30 odd seconds the moment slumber makes its way to my brain.

I can't take it daily because my brain re-adjusts and it stops working. So I have to break it up and only take it sporadically.

My other beef with it is cost.

I wish I could find affordable edibles. 😕

I always had a hard time believing that, but I have seen first hand that acupuncture helped a lot with endometriosis pains.

Damnit that’s the one thing I haven’t tried. I think I’m gonna still, but I have been putting it off because I have the world’s worst needle phobia

Happy you've found relief. Whats your favorite strand? And whats the funniest or most outrageous name for a strand that youve seen?

You’re vegetarian right? Would you ever consider carnivore?

Was vegan over 10 years. Started transitioning a little at a time. I can’t like put meat near my mouth without feeling sick yet, but I am happy to announce that I have successfully added seafood and eggs into my diet 🫂it’s a process. Everything messed up my system at first so I just microdosed everything until I could tolerate it

I should have specified: started the transition this year. The texture of everything is pretty off putting at first so I’m slowly getting used to things

Hope you find relief. Idk much about the uterus but I know that our ancestors would consume organs to improve the functioning of their own organs: eye balls for vision as an example. In non western cultures, they eat the entire animal. That is not something you’d be able to eat right now but this could be an option at some point. My friend said it got rid of all her negative period symptoms (mood swings, cramps, bloating). Another girl told me it helped with her hormones. I use the male version and it jacked up my testosterone. It’s less gross and I bet it would help pretty fast. Wishing you the best 🫂
