Same! I've never tried the water glassing before, but I've got enough eggs I think I'm going to give it a shot.

We started water glassing this year. Works great.

I've got some half gallon canning jars that I really don't remember what I got them for lol that I was thinking about using

We were able to get 15 eggs in our half gallon jar. 14 now, we had to try one after it sat for a bit to make sure we knew what we were doing before scaling up to buckets.

Yeah that's exactly how I did mine. Use a set of tongs to lower them gently into the jar so no eggs get cracked.

water glassing is awesome. we just started doing it this year, getting too many eggs too. can't sell them fast enough here either.

This was my immediate thought as well!

We finally tasted the eggs we water glasses like a year ago. They were good, but left a metallic aftertaste. I’m not sure I will use the rest for breakfast. Might not be bad in recipes.

Did you wash them off before cracking them open? The lime is supposed to mess with the flavor if you don’t.

Planning to do some glassing for the first time this year. Fermenting wasn’t great the first time but pickling with beet juice was great.

I’m not sure if I did, but I think so. Will have to try again.
