I started eating 4 pieces of liver 1-2x per week and I think it’s going to become part of my permanent diet. I have started to like the taste more, and I feel good after I eat it.

Nice. Where you sourcing it from?
My local farmer’s market. Grass-fed, grass-finished.
Oh also I should mention that I always eat my liver with onions and cook it lightly (30s each side on medium-high heat).
Lovely. I'm gonna get on this soon. What's the thought behind the onions? Just makes it taste better or something else?
Exactly. I am still pretty new to liver and the taste is quite strong. People recommend onions or bacon to help with the taste. I like onions because they’re easier to cook imo and I think overall they taste better together.
Make it into paté & eat it with dates, sourdough, croissant.
Wow I’ve never heard of this before. I have dates and sourdough already, so I might try it out. Thanks!
I grew up eating liver since I was a little kid. My mom made it with eggs like once every 2 weeks. Just don’t eat too much.
Also lamb liver is the best, but more expensive.
Sweet, I’ll have to try out lamb liver some time. Also, with eggs too.
I’m still working on finding my balance on how much I should have in my diet but luckily I’m not worried about overeating liver 😂. I’m warming up to the taste, but I’m happy to take breaks from it.
Yea it’s just that you could get vitamin a toxicity if you eat too much
I’ve honed my regimen to be about 2 oz of raw liver per week. As with anything consumed raw, it should be high quality.
It’s not particularly tasty, but I’ve gotten used to it over the past few weeks. By consuming raw instead of cooked, it is more bioavailable, healing, and preventative against disease.
The impetus for trying this out was the great work of Aajonus Vonderplanitz.
