I can understand that people get discouraged. They see it and stop being active here and it gets worse and worse. Then people just stop posting for months.

I haven't noticed it. In fact I have been fighting all last week with other users about flat earth.
I do notice some users come and go. Maybe the can't handle the discussions here because they are used to censored platforms where discussion isn't an option

Honestly I see less activity compared to other platforms. But its way higher quality and actual people talking. But I am trying to onboard new people to nostr, but its difficult for people with short attention spans.
Plus there's more real conversations without anyone being held back. So that's why I'm sticking to nostr.
It's the spam attacks Nostr's been getting. That doesn't deter me from calling out the highest levels of evil from Rome.
I take breaks from time to time. But when I’m around I engage.
