The easiest way to get a Lightning address is to set up Nostr through the nostr:npub12vkcxr0luzwp8e673v29eqjhrr7p9vqq8asav85swaepclllj09sylpugg app. They have a wallet setup from the get-go. Other easy options to get a Lightning address are Wallet of Satoshi, nostr:npub1xnf02f60r9v0e5kty33a404dm79zr7z2eepyrk5gsq3m7pwvsz2sazlpr5, and Getalby.

Set up your wallet so you can get zaps. If you signed up on a client that doesn’t make your wallet setup obvious or easy, copy your nsec (secret key) and sign in on an app that lets you, like nostr:npub1q8w7u2ymrghfpp6v5dpg57jpgaj2djk340a2npwzq8n64ksk6wxq8aw95u listed above. Are you on iOS? Primal is great on iOS. http://primal.net

He also got me becoming a developer who can't code by using AI. I already optimized certain things of my work flow just by using AI to help me to code some things. How was your experience of setting up the lightning address? What client do you use for Nostr? Just curious. This definately has to be hard for some new comers. Primal set up really made it easy for most now though.

For someone who really us somewhat technologically challenged, I found it to be pretty smooth to setup.

I was using Primal and found it to be super slow on my Android. Someone helped me shift to Amethyst today, and it's remarkably better!

If it helps I just turned 50 and was able to grasp it, but not without nostr:npub1hrxsz5ejmldh2z2l6f7rsh4axjugxdwrcszylczmrmmeuqmcvwjqyprrc7 tutorial on YouTube. That was a big help for me and something anyone getting started should watch.

Lastly,.I usually follow Preston, Lyn, and Jeff Booth's leads so once they were all aboard, that was all I needed to be certain.

Amethyst is the best - it's what I use too. Primal works well too, not sure why it was so slow for you. It's good that you started with Primal, though, because you got the wallet set up. BTC Sessions is great; his videos walked me through a lot of things when I was getting started. Nostr keeps improving, and I hope that one day watching a video won't even be needed to get started - that's when we'll know we've really succeeded. Glad you found your way here.

Sweet. I wondered if that was a UI miss. I signed up on Nos Social even through it’s in beta on iOS. Then I switched to primal. That opened up zaps, which was awesome. But I stay logged in on both, because Nos lets me delete if I fire a typo that’s too messed up, or a post doubles up from Primal due to slowness or something. Kind of want to blend features of those two apps at the moment.

He declared that he will suspend and close my bank account because I had used some 200 Euro bank notes. Next morning I had to go to the bank to resolve the "problem". This was my fucking money which I could verify. Remark: 500 Euro notes are still accepted here in shops, no probs at all.

This was my worst FIATsituation so far.

So what's your nightmare experience?
