Spring is in full swing on our South Carolina homestead.

Goats and cows in milk

Eggs are coming in strong

Three ewe lambs born this week

So. Many. Strawberries.

Chamomile harvesting

Artichokes setting

The last of the beets and rutabagas pulled

Onions are bulbing.

Hog processed, filling the freezer after winter.

Seeds are popping up, plants transplanted.

What food are you growing? What is your favorite season of harvest?

It all looks beautiful. Sounds like a full and peaceful life.

Beautiful photos! As much as I love the spring garden, with its tomatoes and peppers and cucumbers and melons, my favorite season to grow here is the fall and winter. The garden is so much easier then, without having to worry about watering all the time, and every bug, bird, and rodent in the county trying to eat your harvest. And it's so beautiful with all the different types and colors of lettuce, kale, cauliflower, etc.

gorgeous. truly blessed!

Nothing beats lambs and wildflowers. Spring rain and bud break are would come in a close second

I'm jealous of those strawberries.

We've got our herbs and tomatoes popping up. That's probably all I'm going to do this year, foodwise.

We also have lots of wild onions in the yard.

What a wonderful life you have. Full of blessings!
