Hey man the noodles look fantastic , but I always wondered , what is the little white star with the pink swirl in the middle about ? Is it a special type of egg or something like that ?
Also , do Japanese people eat ham often ? Is that a traditional way of eating the noodles , or is that a recent addition ie . Within the last 100 years or so ?

I grew up in The Netherlands, but back in the 80’s we did receive BBC and Sky. That’s where I must’ve seen Bananaman.
You seen him on television ! Right , well he's a character from a series of childrens comics called "The Dandy" , you could get it at the newsagent every sunday , or if you signed up for the " Beano club" or the "Dandy club " , then you got it sent though the post.
It's a shame there isn't anything like that really these days , it was a nice little ritual .
