I can never find the alias email option in proton โฆ
Discussion
I use the simplelogin app for that (it is also a proton company) but you are right bad ux ๐ nostr:npub18q57qr3t07qljnapzqldaqa7ru2qwfpfnjdrwvhk327n3sc82f0qqwrs6f
Thatโs what I was using but then proton introduced it into their mail but now I canโt find it anywhere
Best way is to add the browser extension from the chrome store (you ARE using Brave, arenโt you?) and log in using your proton credentials
Honestly it should be an extension I click on and get an instant alias email

If you have the proton password manager extension- it can automatically create an alias for you when you are creating an account at a new site
It is in proton pass .. I also always struggle to find it :D
Once you generate your new alias there, you add list of contacts with which you want to use alias and it is handled automatically in proton mail.
There is one in proton pass
As far as I know, it's only available through proton pass. Which allows you to generate one when signing up for sites.
Itโs just drop down in the โfromโ when you send an email.
Whaaaa lol I need it for plugging into websites
Simplelogin signed via proton!?
In Proton, extra addresses live in Settings > Mail > Identity and addresses > Create address. For burner aliases, use Proton Pass or SimpleLogin's Hide my email. Which one you need? ๐
