giftwraps are a way to encrypt any nostr note to someone completely privately without anyone seeing that you sent it. no metadata leakage!
I just finised first class giftwrap support in #nostrdb! this means damus ios, android, and notedeck will be getting private note support.

yeah. 0xchat and amethyst support giftwraps for things, and i'm sure lots of other clients
works in chachi DMs. since we render a bunch of content types they'll show nicely.

Would it be feasible for a subscription to ignore all private notes, just how it ignores deleted notes?

yeah private likes is something i like on instagram stories, except ours will be actually private
giftwraps, they're not the ultimate, but we try. all of nostr1.com supports them unthrottled. you may find, throttling kills
