3.1 GetAlby running AlbyHub (a bit pricey unless you do all yourself, not my cup of tea, but people in the community loves them)
3.2 npub.cash - get your npub followed by @npub.cash and use it as your wallet address to receive anonymous private #LN payments and #cashu payments. You can pay in the wallet web site for a custom address as well (cool)
3.3 nuts.cash - same as above, just not an option to buy an address, meaning no #Bolt11 support

Nostr for now seems to be a bitcoiner social media tho
increasingly so for Bitcoiners and decreasingly so for Nostr
In other words, more bitcoiners are moving here and it's becoming the hub for bitcoiners. all the while more people from other places are finding nostr
It takes a certain bitcoin-adjacent mind to see value in nostr and I see those people coming here slowly. It’s a slow moving snowball and we haven’t grown the momentum yet.
oh the momentum has grown. Not to the point that things are getting crazy, but having watched the development swings and improvements over the last 2 years.... there is so much more momentum now
The numbers don’t reflect it. Nostr does feel more alive now, we went from 15k to 20k+ active dailies but the overall trend is just staying around the levels. There was momentum to 15k+ but that has slowed. We’re starting to pick up a bit and it feels like there needs to be a moment or 2 of explosive exposure and it could happen at any point, or we could drift some more.
unless funding gets cut for projects, it seems like the longer it takes the more ready the ecosystem will be fore it and thus the more sticky it will be.
I'm surprised to hear that numbers havent increased. why do you think it feels more alive with the same amount of users? just more people going all in and actually using a continuously now?
I like Nostr quite a lot. I did come for the tech but actually really like it because of the community.

This is just anecdotal but it seems all social media has some constant churn - older users slowly becoming inactive and dropping off, while new users are most excited and most active. This could explain more activity with fairly similar or slightly higher daily actives.
I honestly felt like the recent round of account suppression on twatter would have generated a new round of folks but it doesn't seem like it has.
I have been posting underneath the outraged tweets about nostr but I don't ever see many others doing it. Unfortunately, I think the welfare program they have has entrenched many of the accounts people would move for.
We are trapped in our own bubble here both virtually and figuratively. It’s hard to comprehend the insignificance of the current state of nostr unless you step outside the bubble. One way to do that is to stop using nostr for a week to see just how insignificant it becomes. People may misinterpret what I say though. My point is that nobody knows about nostr and even if they did, it takes much more effort to explore than we imagine. Yes, those other systems are deeply entrenched.

I went nostr-only in September, then a month later made a new Twitter account just to share my articles.
I lasted 3 days before I remembered why I'd left and nuked that account too.
I find I'm a far happier here on nostr.
