product designers think they know anything or have usability theories, but all they have is status quo bias
Yeah certain Linux distros have fantastic UX
Online PVP gaming and HDR support
Most people around the world can't afford Apple products
Plenty of Linux distros look like macOS

It’s just what people are used to at this point, in the past Linux wasn’t very user friendly. People didn’t know how to even get it onto their machine

Totally. Our CTO at the company I work at is such a Microsoft fan boy. Everything is Windows and Azure and Teams/SharePoint. I run Linux primarily at home and have been quietly protesting with WSL on my work PC lol.
Because gaming on Linux is crap. I wish we all just used Linux. PopOS is as good as Mac (though I haven’t used it in more than a year)
To be fair, Windows doesn't require regular interactions with a text terminal to do basics. "Follow these instructions to add a repository so that..." yeah no.
