How I purchase Non-KYC #bitcoin:

1. First, I run a Start9, full BTC node

2. Download Tor browser

3. Purchase BTC with RoboSats (using my Strike cash balance)

4. Send the purchased Non-KYC sats via lightning to my Alby wallet

5. Use Boltz to swap out the newly aquired Non-KYC BTC from lighting to BTC On-Chain

6. Send to cold storage device (Jade) which I use with Sparrow Wallet

Very easy. If I can do it, you can too.

Same method here. The premiums on Robosats are also lower than Bisq most of the time. So even with low fees on chain, I think it works out better.

The bad premiums on Bisq are only for orders no one takes, so they stay up and make it seem like that's all there is. Make your own offer for 1% over market and it will be taken.

FWIW you can export all Bisq trade data to analyze and I've found the average trade price is very close to the daily market rate.

I've been wanting to try something similar, but I keep getting a little hung up.

Strike requires a cell phone number. And, adding funds to your balance requires a linked bank account or debit card. All pretty KYC.

Are you spoofing a phone number?

Can you use prepaid debit cards (paid with cash) to fund your Strike balance?

Are you confident in the privacy from Lightning to on-chain without a mixer?

what i don't understand here is, if you're using Strike, why not just pay yourself and cut RoboSats out of the question? You're losing 5% or whatever the spread is on RoboSats for no reason.

Technically all strike would have is you using cash to pay a lightning invoice on their side. Theres no proof that the invoice belings to you. Theres no on chain data either sooo

Well I am using alby via lightning to pay the fee/establish the bond for the transaction, plus sending the fiat via strike directly to their strike cash wallet. So it’s just as if I’m sending some fiat to a friend for something.

But that's my point. All Strike knows is that you're paying a lightning invoice. Is the invoice one you own or one a dude on Robosats owns or your friends?

Have you tried Bisq? You can still use Strike as the fiat payment, but you get on chain bitcoin directly.
