Feather for a "normie"?
Have you interacted with a normie recently? I think you're forgetting how much hand-holding the average person needs.
We're many decades out from the average person being able to even change their own oil.

The average person should understand the basics of cryptocurrency, if someone don't master the concept of private/public keys, this person should not go into crypto for his own safety. There is a seed to keep safe, giving address to receive fund and sending fund is easy. If someone can't do these 3 easy moves... maybe use cake wallet ?
-> so the answer for "what should a normie use" is Cake Wallet. got it.
If you'd like to see more adoption of Monero (and I would), the first thing you tell a normal person cannot be "learn cryptography".
It would be reasonable to say "Hey, friend, use Cake Wallet and you'll be up and running immediately. BUT before you have X dollars or more in your wallet, make sure you understand A B and C crypto fundamentals for your own safety!"
These are very different paths
I don't want people to adopt Monero like NGU in Bitcoin, not a HODL shit, I want people to understand the value of freedom and privacy, and how Monero support that on the financial plan. The only thing we need to say is "learn history, learn economy, we are traced every time, you have no financial privacy with Bitcoin, it's linked via KYC and you will be put in jail if you fund an opposition movement, you will be hunted if bad guys found your wallet address because they will know how much you have". If people remembered what's happened in Canada for example in 2022, if people keep in mind that Bitcoin is traceable and it's a big issue, if they learn in Denmark they will be taxed on unrealized capital gain by 2026 with Bitcoin, if people understand how Bitcoin mining is heavily centralized and there is high risk of censorship, especially because every transactions are public not anonymous. If people understand the importance of privacy, they will understand why Monero is a game changer and they will definitely adopt it and I think it's just a matter of time.
I don't disagree with any of that. And I'm not talking about Monero NGU. I'm talking about enough usage and adoption that building viable parallel economies is feasible.
If zero vendors I want to use take Monero, that's bad for me. If one does, that's better. 10 even better. Get into the hundreds and thousands and I'll be able to live in the Agora.
Don't be afraid about parallel economies, it will follow naturally, look the DNM, people are using Monero, why ? Because they need it. People don't understand it yet, but all of us need Monero. Check, when do you learn to escape the prison ? Before ? No, that's when you are in, so people will learn Monero over time, wave after wave of censorship and abusive taxation. We are just early
If people really understand the situation, I'm pretty sure they will run to learn how cryptocurrency work in details ^^

Agreed. And they aren't going to. Unless a personal responsibility culture shift happens, this will always be the case. Banks have existed for a long time.
