We are starting a flock. All you permanerds wore off on me (at least a little bit - haha). Also one of my colleagues has been raising hens for a few years and convinced me. I buy eggs from her and we love fresh eggs from chickens who can free range. We’ll see how it goes!

What breed did you get?
We have two Isa Browns, two Rhode Island reds, and two Barred Rocks. We are in Michigan so we wanted breeds that would be hardy in the winter.
Our Isa browns are so reliable and lay almost every day. Our Rhode island red has a tendance to go broody but she's got so much personality it makes up for the lack of eggs. Congratulations on the flock.
