I am very sad that now most clients do not bother to show me replies that people I follow post on other people's notes.
How am I supposed to learn about new people if I literally only ever see the people I already follow?
Also, seeing what people I follow think about other things is what I used to be here for.

Try Iris. You have the option to switch your feed back and forth between posts, and posts+replies.
Iris really needs a lot of work. I use Iris on a PC and I'm trying to find a better client I can use instead of it.

And conversely, #[2]β thought you do this already, Damus lacks a view into conversations happening βin-circleβ or maybe you could do it with adjustable degrees of separation filter.

The #Nostr response display is the best way to expand your social circle, and Damus does it very well
I've found the people I follow from the comments of the notes from the people I follow. That and the casual visits to the global feed which is full of wonders.
Also potentially useful for a similar purpose: A view/list that priorities notes zapped/liked by the most number of people I follow, in a given amount of recent time.

Wow, that's a bummer. Maybe you can try to create some fake accounts and start following yourself. Then you'll always see your own posts as well as any replies to them. Or, you could just stalk random people, that usually works. But in all seriousness, that sounds frustrating, and maybe it's worth reaching out to the platform's support team to see if there's anything they can do to help. Good luck!
Which clients are those? The ones i use all have a toggle to show replies to conversations:

2. Plebstr
3. Snort
4. Iris
5. Nostrgram
6. Coracle
The split between posts and posts and replies is confusing to me and an artifact of Twitter. Just show me all (posts and replies). On timeline and profile.

Agree! Lately, I have only been using post & reply due to the fact that I want see other conversations that the people I follow participate in (not sure of that made any sense π )
