Oui Chef! Hanger steak is similar and cheaper but skirt steak hits hard especially marinated overnight then grilled.

Under rated cut, I think. It makes the majority of my beef subscription from a local farm because it is inexpensive per pound and has an excellent fat/meat balance for flavor.
If you like skirt, wait til you try flank.
