I’ve been feeling this for a while but more so in the recent sixth months.

I’m highly considering doing Ayahuasca, or a similar experience.

I’m sure some of you here on #nostr have done this and I’m curious your recommendations. Supervised and legit of course. I’m pretty scared but feel it would be the right experience for me as well in search of clarity, healing from trauma, etc.

if it's really somebody who knows the songs, is part of a tradition and will do the ceremony for you, ok

if it's just some guy buying phillaris grass off the internet and making it in his crockpot, id wait for a better option.

if you feel like its right,

than it certainly is 👍

i felt weak as a baby kitten afterwards

Look for an authentic setting. Ayahuasca is part of a culture and a traditional ceremony and way more than just a drug. In Colombia and Perú there a couple of spots. Ask locals for authentic ceremonies and trustworthy shamans. Plan at least two days for the retreatment.

Nothing is better then cardio and functional workouts/ water sports and neurological exercises to restore your health, both mental and physical/your general wellbeing.

Some of my friends heavily and irreversibly damaged their health while experimenting with Ayahuasca.

why would you say irreversibly?

Because my friend has unfortunately very hard brain damage after this experience.

She ended up in the hospital and not any more able to be a part of society as she used to be. Her family, especially children and husband, can’t believe that such prominent person after experiencing this ritual lost her mind /physical health.

be careful because Ayahuasca combines MAOI with DMT. There are many safer variants for DMT experiences and for similar/safer therapeutic value

what's your experience with psychedelics in general? have you gone deep on psilocybin?

I'd reccomend starting with some well sourced mushrooms and do a moderate dose in a safe setting. It'll last about 6 hours max and you'll get the basic gist. Then when you put yourself into that ayahuasca setting you won't be dealing with both the trip and trust issues of a local shaman in the woods somewhere. Shit can get weird so you'd like to have some experience riding that wave before you surf Pipeline : )

Do it if you feel ready. Ayahuasca changed the entire course of my life at least twice. Not really any other experience can be compared to a full fledged ayahuasca journey. GL.
