chatgpt produces a lot of bs, but i think most of the teachers will buy it πŸ˜‚πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

Yes for x minutes or x questions then it’s banned until homeworker done.

Yes because kids will use it no matter what. Why make them lie? It’s going in the direction of calculators and math. Teachers will need to retool their assignments to still hone in on how to think, with chatgpt being one arrow in a quiver of tools.

I think education is actually one of the more promising aspects of AI, actually. I think having something like ChatGPT as a tutor could only be a good thing. The issue, is how do we test that children is learning? I think we can do that. But it's going to take new paradigms.

Yes. The teachers I know are all quite enthusiastic about it, incorporating and developing coursework around it. Granted, they are university level educators so have students with a strong foundation already (supposedly).

The real question is what is the point of school? If the point is to learn how to produce papers, then yes, let them use the AI generators.

I recently attended a Lean Coffee with my consultant colleagues, primarily developers, who highlighted the significant efficiency gains achieved with AI-based tools like Github Copilot. Integrating AI into education could prove beneficial if we teach students how to use it effectively rather than restricting or prohibiting its use. AI training would prepare them better for their future careers.

Yes, but the teachers will need to find creative ways to use #ChatGPT in the classroom, so a form of quiz or assessment might be to ask students to generate an essay with ChatGPT and then let them examine the claim of the facts generated by ChatGPT and _reflect_ on them, as to what do these things even mean? What are the implications? In other words, students should be able to go deeper than facts as presented.

Not in place of a real learning process, or demonstration of knowledge/skills, but they should definitely learn how to utilize the tool that’s going to change the future of employment for many students
