Regardless of whether you are just a supporter or a maximalist of #Bitcoin, we have to admit that people from third world countries cannot afford to obtain #BTC because it is very expensive.

I see cheap options like #Monero and #Litecoin that would be viable for these people, what do you think about that?

We have a major economic crisis on the way that will soon explode and affect the entire world.

The logic seems backwards.

If someone has nothing, then that is the reality. When they have something, they can store it in bitcoin.

You're forgetting the whole purpose of Bitcoin. The title of the white paper. Half the world lives hand to mouth. They should have a permissionless, self custodial, cheap, and preferably private network that they can use. Not merely a savings account for the rich and privileged to hodl

That's nonsense.

Can you explain why this is considered nonsense? I, like nostr:npub14a6q6xvt4wuv0wpdpfr336e4fweldtu6np3ehpw55h83xuw2h2zsgyz6rn, prioritize #Bitcoin, but I find #Monero superior for transactions. It's perplexing that individuals adhering to purity endure $40 BTC transactions or risk theft from custodial Lightning wallets. This doesn't address the issue with the current banking-controlled system.

Satoshi aimed to rectify this, not establish a new elite of #Bitcoin hodlers.

Advocating for a more open-minded approach and employing diverse tools for different purposes isn't driven by self-interest. nostr:npub1gnv8m77dfaw03hyuxq652h5ph4q4emxt40zk030lmg3ry594w7msukgjqm highlighted #Litecoin and #Monero, not Internetcomputer or Shiba Inu trash 🤣.

In a world with numerous currencies, a permissionless system for inter-crypto exchange seems reasonable. People choosing dubious currencies as a medium of exchange is their concern, but it shouldn't blind those informed to declare only #Bitcoin as the solution. Some collectibles were deemed valuable by previous generations, like for example baseball figures and Pokemon cards, trying to eliminate all "shitcoins" may be futile, but dismissing valuable cryptocurrencies like #Monero or #Litecoin, solely in favor of #Bitcoin, is shortsighted.

nostr:npub1ltt9gry09lf2z6396rvzmk2a8wkh3yx5xhgkjzzg5znh62yr53rs0hk97y 's response and #Bitcoin is highly divisible and if they can afford anything, they can afford satoshis, like we zap on #Nostr. Does Montero have fractions? I honestly don't know

#plebs #plebchain

#Monero has 12 decimal places vs Bitcoins 8.

Many thanks guys, i support each opinion, long life to #bitcoin

You haven't understood Bitcoin yet. The value of bitcoin only matters if you need to obtain the smallest quantity. The smallest possible quantity is your threshold to entering. Everything above that is convenience.

That is, I have to correct myself here, the fees may become the threshold because it would prevent using the currency.

I do think long term the fees could hinder or deter price sensitive users or nations.

No

They can do custodial LN until they have enough for on chain cold storage

XMR is a good option. I don't see why not. It has stayed kept it real from day one. Just As Bitcoin. If someone can learn to self custody XMR then they can get some nonkyc BTC If they want easily. Although it's a BTC alternative it still a honest kind of BTC. is it used in high pressure situations where zero trust is involved. As far as the cumminities if maximalism is correct we will have plenty of atomic swaps between these two.
