They're trying to get more women to enter the workplace full-time, but AI is about to cause mass unemployment.
Don't really need women to work, anymore.

I'd rather be a full time mom who keeps writing books than join the "workplace".
I suppose AI will help me do this and I'll leave the workplace for the men who wanna be there.
It's 2030,
I have no privacy
I own nothing
And life has never been better.

Men can not have to work next please.
I'm thinking about this because my head hurts, so I don't want to code, today, and it's like,
Why do I even need to work? Why don't the men just do everything, so that I can spend all day getting my nails done and arranging flowers?

If there’s none of you around we get weird. I feel ya but gotta have at least some of you there to keep the dumbness at bay.
That ole sausage factory vibe, I get ya.
It’s truly baffling to me as a man why women ever wanted to work. Don’t they know working sucks and we only do it to get laid? Lol
The machine needs them to work, it will eventually swing back
🤣
I’ve recorded hundreds of people telling their life stories, many people in their 80s, more than half from farms. This is my perspective of the way things used to be:
They were working at home. Gardening, canning, washing clothes, bookkeeping. They cooked and often ran side hustles like selling eggs or running boarding houses. It was full time work, with limited ability to control the finances of the family. They had a vital role in the family.
When commodity prices dropped women’s labor brought more value to the family leaving the farm to go to the city for administrative work. They quickly realized that they could attain higher levels of salary if they got an education.
They didn’t want to, they did it as a result of inflation. As the generations passed they didn’t know anything else.
I suspect full time moms have a serious meaning crisis after children are a certain age because most of their effort is chosen, rather than a necessity.
I live in a neighborhood with almost 100% stay at home moms - only the families with 5+ kids seem to not be on Prozac.
Growing up the messaging that my peers are I received was that we could do anything. The lie being that it's possible to do everything. Have a career, be a mum. And have a fulfilling relationship. I know I was made to feel that being 'just a mum' was to have failed. That I SHOULD be doing so much more. Anyway, women can do whatever they want but need to know that there are tradeoffs and doing it 'all' is a myth.
Absolutely and societally we need to put stay at home mothers to multiple children in their proper place at the top of the hierarchy
💯 Unpaid work is work and arguably the most important work.
I know many men who have said they would, completely seriously, divorce their wife if she didn't work. Or break off an engagement if her career isn't sound. I'm not convinced they actually would in all cases, but we be strugglin in our 20s.
