Nostr Web Client

I’ve always been interested in who exactly makes up the larger nostr community. I feel like they are a lot of assumptions about the demographics and values of the people who use nostr regularly.

The loudest voices on nostr don’t necessarily speak for the majority, which probably makes it difficult to create effective solutions to improve the platform and grow the community.

It would be interesting to develop a survey of some sort to help us truly understand what people like and dislike about nostr and identify opportunities for growth.

I would love to hear people’s opinions on what information would be helpful to collect and even connect with folks who may interested on collaborating on something like this.

I'd be very interested in learning about "unwanted content" experiences, and about what Nostriches have been doing about it.

Maybe:

1. Tell me about the first time you came across content on Nostr that you really didnt want to see?

2. What are the most common forms of "unwanted content" you encounter on Nostr and would prefer not to see?

3. What do you do now to avoid "unwanted content" on Nostr?

4. On a scale from "very important" to "not at all important", how much does unwanted content on Nostr bother you?

5. How many months approximately have you been using Nostr?

I'm cool with free response, we can have multiple choice answers in the next wave once we have a better idea of what bothers people.

1. Basically day 1 in global feeds, but it was spam, and since basically nothing (clients/relays have come a long way)

3. I haven't really needed to. Hit mute list if I need to

4. It doesn't. I'm sure plenty of unwanted content exists, but I don't see it in my feeds

Good questions. Nostr hasn’t figured out a good way to give people control over content they see beyond the mute button, which only works after the fact.
