I was born in communism and it's not fun at all. Let's try with the second one.
Communism sounds great because it's a lot like heaven will be... The problem is that here, on earth, when we put people in the place of God, you have a severe lack of knowledge coupled with a proclivity for being corrupted by evil, which makes communism a disaster.
Nothing about communism sounds good to me, not even the "real" utopian communism that has never occurred. So if that's what heaven is, I'll pass.

Bitcoin's been great for its spread as an idea. But it gets too radical even for Bitcoiners to digest it seems.
I think anarchy-capitalism is as populist as communism is. It’s seductive but not realistic. The whole financial system is based on credit and credit on credit and derivatives on credit on credit which is then tokenised on a blockchain. The incentives for ridiculous extreme “financialization” and the adrenaline associated with it is too addictive to the general population. The latest “get rich quick” scheme is always more attractive than “stay humble and stack sats”. Ie both “communism” and “anarcho-capitalism” are 2 sides of the same coin. “Stay humble and stack sats” is the very edge of that same coin. In a coin toss, the coin very rarely lands on the edge.
But really that’s not what I wanted to talk about. I’ve been in bitcoin from 2019 but really only started to get it in 2022 when I started buying like a demon. I was in a panic and couldn’t get enough. My issue is now I’m about 90 - 100% up. I still buy but that same frenzy isn’t there. I feel that 1. I took the risk and did the right thing in 2022. 2. I’m a bit scared to take such a big risk as I did before (I’ve got more to lose). My question is;
Does this happen to all bitcoiners after say 4-8 years. 1. They took the risk and won. 2. They know that whatever they put in now is nowhere as useful as what they put in 8 years ago. 3. They might as well start enjoying the fruits of their risk taking. I’m still about 4 years away from that but I’m ask you because you’re the most accessible OG who’s active on nostr. This is a genuine question without (much) sarcasm/cynicsm. Does apathy set in for all OGs. Ie they’ll never be able to get the returns they got early on so they may as well enjoy the perks?

- nano bot defense tech that makes it impossible to be murdered
- the ability to terraform mars & other planets
- near light speed travel / beyond light speed travel
- ultra low cost renewable energy, micro fusion reactors etc…
- self replicating automated manufacturing (replicators)
- decentralized law and contract enforcement / decentralized conflict resolution AI’s
Raising intelligence won’t automatically make a high trust society, but it may allow people to more deeply grasp the important elements of social scalability like the immutable constitution or consensus rules — which are rules that supersede diversity and differences, these rules apply universally to all parties whether they’re trusted or not. As more see the wisdom of this, there will be more global adoption of it — perhaps a voluntary-like form of Manifest Destiny.
Yeah agreed iq is not sufficient on its own you also need some type of genetic enhancement that boosts social cohesion as well
