Wow. The IMF said that El Salvador isn't even allowed to mine Bitcoin.

RIP goes the volcano miner

sad

Obvious enslavement play. Gotta keep the slaves where they belong by dangling printed carrots in front of them. What a let down.

The shining beacon on the hill is a mudslide.

IMF is BIG MAD. 😆

Apparently.

just read El Salvador buys the dip scooping up five Bitcoin despite IMF pressure to back off Bitcoin. 🤣

Why accept money from the IMF? It’s a deal with the devil 😈

I hope btc rips and El Salvador becomes the worlds lender of last resort lol

If ES can sustain the pressures of the IMF while continuing to buy BTC, they're going to be walking around like Randy from South Park.

F the IMF

Is anyone really surprised? The IMF is a globalist banking institution and Bitcoin is a threat to their monopoly.

Well .. I . M . F 'n . mad about that. 🤬

The government can't mine. Nothing stopping them from confiscating what their "private sector" acquired illegally **according to salvadoran law**

Accepting the IMF's fraudulent "loans" is like saying "pass the salt" to the cannibals who are boiling you alive.

Damn, they're terrified by Bitcoin

That's how I'm reading this too. If they weren't, they would not make these restrictions.

I do like that it removes the mandatory Bitcoin acceptance requirements for the private sector, however.

Ridiculous.

So El Salvador won’t continue to mine!?

I haven't seen any confirmation if they're going to comply.

We shall see how it all plays out 🍿👀

Scenario 1) IMF says stop or we'll cancel loan checks. Bukele doesn't stop, and then the IMF cancels checks.

Scenario 2) Similar to above, but the IMF doesn't cancel checks and shows that they're weak, allowing other countries to default on their agreed policies.

3) they do stop playing with their bitcoins (doubt)

I guess that's an option too 😜

Hypothetically of course
