For those newly joining us for World Carnivore Month, remember, you need to eat enough fat! Lean meat is not the answer.

If your meat is lean, add butter, ghee, fatty offcuts from your butcher, lard, duck fat, or bacon grease! Fat is essential for health & weight loss.

Is the fat primarily for satiation or unique nutrient properties?

Satiation

Hormone balance as well

Have you discovered the sweet spot? I am pretty sure I have been eating way too much butter and fat... The steak and butter gal kinda promoted that for a while and I stuck with it cos I love my butter... But changing the tune rn.

I believe a 1:1 ratio of fat to protein, by gram, is a good starting place. Everyone will be different though. I've needed to bump up the fat after being more active (so it has seemed).

depends on your goals & symptoms

personally, carnivore only worked for me for a few years, then the "benefits" took a hard reversal

I always do this because it tastes good, but also without fat you probably won't get the fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. There are probably more reasons to do so.
