I'm not sure how old I was. I used to "rewind" my dreams when I wanted to change how I responded to someone.
I was always into books about wizards and magic, and still have a spellbook that I made when I could barely write.
I've always been aware of spirits that were around, which led to mediumship later on.
I showed a friend a drawing I had put on my door when I was in primary school (or possibly before then). He had spent years in structured magic, and pointed out that the shapes and colors used were all related to protection. It has the words, "Only good may enter.", which as an adult, I was surprised to notice that it was positively worded (Instead of preceding with "No...").
As I got older, I explored further, and started noticing auras, having spontaneous past-life regressions (especially when helping someone with a personal issue), using dance to move energy, and "mind reading" (which is really just tuning in to someone's broadcast).
I went through a period where I kept encountering people that had physical, or emotional, ailments, and doing energy work and body work to clear things up. During those sessions, all of those gifts came in to play.
So pleased I asked these questions because for a while now, I have been looking for people who have this kind of gifts. It is fascinating to hear stories like yours. You mentioned past life regression which is something I do too to help others. Like yourself, dancing is really important to me as well. It helps me release unwanted, excess or detoxify energies. My journey started since I was kid and no clue what I was seeing/doing.
There were times I thought I couldn't control my gifts because I ended up in places I did not expect to be at nor planned. So I had to learn things FAST (the basics!) to keep safe and to avoid visiting places uninvited. 🤣
Most often than not, people who come to see me are those starting to awaken or did not know they have awaken. They get stuck in a limbo causing loneliness, anxiety and depression. Hence, I started what I do.
I enjoy stories to inspire and to inform. Create a space where you are not labelled as "insane" for being different. ☺️
I am curious about what you said mediumship. how does it work?
For me, mediumship "just happens". When I've helped others, it's common for a deceased loved one to be present to assist. Sometimes they give me information to give to the person I'm working on. Other times, they have shown me techniques/tools to help that person. I always loved the latter, as it adds a new tool to my toolbox.
More recently, I've focused on recognizing symbols that my loved ones leave for me. For example, I'll find a marble in a very uncanny area, that's my paternal grandmother reminding me to play and have fun. Her husband leaves ammo cartridges, or casings, to remind me that they see my efforts and work. My other grandmother leaves feathers, and my father leaves coins. There are plenty of times when I can just feel that one of them is near, and/or had influence on a situation, like leading me to a new client. I always thank them, usually out loud, because I know that helps them, and that they can hear/feel my gratitude.
What you describe about signs from loved ones are the same as what Dr Tara Swart describe. She's a neuroscientist and she wrote a book about her studies which shows evidence that we can communicate with the dead. I haven't read her book but seen her interview at DOAC podcast. As for mediumship, it is quite interesting. It has similarities to what I hear from people.
Do they appear before you or they come through you? It's something I am wondering. I take it they speak telepathically or do you hear their voice like when you speak with humans? 🤔
