😳 #Zap no second bestā—ļøāš”ļø

Hello Peter!

What does this mean?

Do you chat in China with your real name and identity?

Can you build a score with an anonymous account, too?

sorry no

I’m based out of Shanghai yes. Fully doxed. Am attempting to engage with the focus to provide context and inject common sense into the dogmatic US/China nonsense.

This looks like a 3rd party service, is this score actually verifiable? Is the government even saying what your real score is, or is this company just estimating?

Quite honestly I have no idea. Ask around and you’ll find no one seems to care about it. What matters, sadly, is convenience. I would suspect that’ll build from here

Ambiguity is an effective weapon of our modern tyrannies

And this is what Elon Musk wants for you with X.

SMH at the Elon fanbois.

The criteria claimed here is essentially a credit score. This isn’t coming soon This is already here and tracks everyone already and most people are fine with it. Is their secret criteria that is not being transparently identified in the description of this score?

Thanks

The score is a joke šŸ˜‚ that’s why I’m China probably Alipay is better

Agreed. As someone else mentioned it is currently more of a ā€œcredit scoreā€ but still directly attached to payment rails which everyone uses.

Have an Alipay score as well. Need to dig that one up.

Alipay is a bit more helpful at least the ā€œcreditā€ can give us some convenience on renting, deposit, etc. due to its ecosystem investment on e-commerce, second hand online store, insurance, delivery, etc.

It would be so much nicer if they are decentralized 😁

People calling it a credit score are missing the whole point...

Credit scores are used when you work with a bank to obtain a line of credit ($1000s) but not for every transaction.

Imagine not being able to book a First Class plane ticket bc your score isn't high enough.

Imagine not being able to book a ticket at all...

Then imagine that there is a government with enough influence out there to forcibly tank your score if you start acting against the interest of said government.

The problem isn't how the score is supposedly compiled, it's the centralization of authority on how and where you're allowed to interact with the economy, and spend your fiat.
