The truth is, one cannot believe in authority and be free, because accepting the myth of government is accepting one's own obligation to obey a master, which means accepting one's own enslavement.

Sadly, many people believe that begging the master, via political action, is all they can do. So they forever engage in rituals which only legitimize the slave-master relationship, instead of simply disobeying the tyrants.

The idea of disobeying authority, breaking the law and being criminals is more disturbing to them than the idea of being a slave.

Deep facts

All government is a corporation - the only authority is a voluntary transparent CONTRACT

De Jure government is also as you say - only authority by belief. Without consent there can be no master or slave, only immoral extortion by a criminal (alleged government agents)

Luke Skywalker, 22, of Tatooine, was sentenced to 27 months in prison, 24 months of supervised release, and ordered to pay $2,000 after pleading guilty to civil disorder and assault of a federal officer.

Well, at least here in Spain, most people "pay taxes voluntarily", so they're not slaves. Checkmate!

Yeah, 75%, but voluntarily 😉

That is exactly it.

But if you looked at how you’ve structured this post it implies as if we’re fighting the "government."

In this Us vs Them scenario, which is somewhat true, it only escalates conflicts further towards division, it’s a somewhat anarchist take, ultimately the government is us in a sense, if the world was consumed by bad incentive structures, bad power dynamics and unexamined ideologies, what would that government look like? Probably a direct reflection of the people who are in charge today, if we have a solid foundation of hierarchical values things might look a bit different, but I’m personally unsure if a society can properly function without some form of centralised control function or hierarchy, because as humans we unwittingly do it anyway through our evolution.

Freedom can come into conflict with morality, not everyone is a good person, so the natural consequence of this is usually a form of centralised power. It’s full circle. Great post, just reflecting on the complexity of it, it’s hard to find a remedy really.

In the moment you accept one bit of gov you are beginning your downfall. It's only a matter until the gov sucks everything from you and you'll have little to none scape, living in absolute slavery.

Ohhhh noooo!!!!

Ok given the current state of affairs, locally and globally. What wins do you have, and what freedoms or absolute property rights have you gained in the past three decades?

We're burning to death, and your sitting here saying, "This is fine" in a burning room.

Change your Avatar to a frog in a pot.

I’m not saying it’s fine, I’m searching for a solution rationally.

Have a good day brotha 🤙

You too mate. We did rack one absolute + unconfiscatable property win in the previous decades BTW. Bitcoin 😉

We now have a weapon ⚔️

Most people follow the crowd into obedience. Until one day most people follow the crowd into disobedience and then the cycle starts over.

Truth is that as with pretty much everything in nature it’s about degrees, not absolutes. About how much you obey a master and how much you don’t. Absolute freedom is a fairy tale, absolute government a nightmare.

Gov is absolutely evil, there is no degree.

Idealistically indeed. In practice you are already accepting a degree.

I'm not accepting a degree, I'm coerced. There is a difference.

No totally true. You could move and be subject to a govmt with a lesser degree of coercion yet you are accepting the degree you are subject to by living where you are probably because it is more practical and still living an acceptable degree of coercion. Again degrees.

That's not right, where I usually am, I don't pay any taxes, except VAT but that is unavoidable because stores are forced to collect them. So I always choose the least coercion possible, but never accepting it. When I opt in is because I don't want to go to jail, which is coercion, otherwise I send a big "fuck off" to the gov.

Understood. Thanks for the exchange, it’s definitely interesting exercising the skills of a healthy disagreement when there are intelligent and respectful counter arguments. Have a great weekend!

Truth. Most people accept their own enslavement. Without question. To believe otherwise is a bridge too far. Their entire lives would be called into question. Waaay easier just to keep one's head buried firmly in the sand.

the government uses men made "laws" which are opposite to natural law. what they write on paper is a fiction and being a slave is is a believe system of regulations which you apply to but which are not align with truth or natural law. you spoke well. but men made rules on paper are not the law. to use this term for the fiction is part of the propaganda.

Authority may be granted and revoked but never assumed. Government threaten violence. Being capable of violence is not the same thing as having authority.

Had to think of this video when reading your post. Maybe you know it already.
